Landscape Dissipation

Drifter, wanderer, lost, crazy, broken, rejected, filthy, trash, disgusting...HOMELESS.

One that lives in a place not meant for human habitation, a safe haven, or in emergency shelter. Homelessness is defined as living in housing that is below the minimum standard or lacks secure tenure.

Earthen Vessel | Landscape Dissipation

We see them every day, we see them, and we look away, we hear tales of them, how they live and how they steal and how they you know...

My mind is blown, my mind is gone, what went wrong? Voices, pain, confusion, and bondage hold me close; they are my consummate companions. Tossed and driven I dissipated into the landscape.

There is so much to be said about the matter of homelessness, there is so much to be done to that effect. I find myself not knowing how to weigh the importance of my words to bring clarity and impressed urgency.

There are two realities, ours and theirs, they move about us cloaked in noticeable invisibility. I went looking to see to behold what is shun and forgotten. I ventured by vehicle and foot into a culture within a culture to gain understanding and to shed light by way of lens. What was found was not lost but displaced people, living on the fringe of society to avoid our judgmental gaze. Some seeking isolation while others were driven to it...

Deuteronomy 15:11

“For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore, I command you, “You shall open your hand to your brother to the needy and to the poor in your land.”
